The 2014 Rant is in a category all it's own. This all new short board inspired stand up paddleboard is designed for riding waves at the beach or behind the boat. From small to overhead waves, the swallow tail design reduces the surface area providing a great deal of control into and out of turns. The new aggressive surf style shape enables a responsive and playful feel without compromising stability. Play on the wave, relax on the way out — the new Rant redefines what all-around surf should be.

Based on Slingshot’s Future Response Technology the Rant is built with Wood Veneer Sandwich Construction (WVS). This proprietary construction controls the durability and flex of the board and the result is a proven lightweight, impact resistant board.

2014 RANT TECH

KICKED UP NOSE

The kicked up nose allows for steep late drops without pearling and an easier paddle out through the white water.

SWALLOW TAIL

The swallow tail produces a snappy feel with control throughout the turns. The tail will also help the Rant maintain speed even in mushy or small conditions.

LOWER RAIL PROFILE

The rail profile produces short board style feel from top to bottom with great drive through the bottom turns.

AGGRESSIVE ‘V’ SPINE

Releases the tail, increasing the rocker at the rail line. This displacement effect allows for smooth carving turns.

EVA PAD

Comfortable, high density traction material with uniform support.

FIVE FIN CONFIGURATION

Allows for countless fin configurations. Single fin, twin fin, thruster (3 fin) ,quad and 5 fin set up.

ERGONOMIC CARRY HANDLE

Designed with plenty of room to naturally fit the curve of your fingers, the flush mount carry handle makes it easy and comfortable to carry the board.

VENT PLUG

Manually open and close vent plug to allow your board to ‘breath’, equalizing internal and external pressure from heat and atmospheric pressure changes.

DOUBLE LEASH PLUG

Added safety and security in the surf.
